Show Forth His Salvation (Psalm 96:2)

Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Psalm 96:2 (KJV)

Praise and worship are ways of showing forth God’s salvation. Showing forth His salvation means to stand upon the truth that the victory has already been won and the enemy has already been defeated. This celebrant attitude puts us in place of being expectant of seeing God’s favor and blessings in our life.

Continual Praise (Psalm 98:4)

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Psalm 98:4 (KJV)

Praise is powerful because it announces that the victory has already been won. When we praise God and rejoice in Him, mountains melt away as we open ourselves more fully to seeing God’s glory manifest in our lives. Let us have a heart of continual praise; let us rejoice in Him on the mountaintop and in the valley, for He is infinitely worthy of all praise!

The Power Of A Heart Filled With Praise (Psalm 104:33-34)

I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

Psalm 104:33-34 (KJV)

True and lasting joy comes out of right relationship with God. We know we are in right relationship with Him when we can find a song of praise in our hearts, when our meditation of Him brings us to a place of delight. Our approach to God should never be from a place of insecurity, wondering whether or not we have been accepted and approved, but much rather from a place of childlike faith and simple joy. This acts as a reminder to our own hearts that we can trust Him in all circumstances. And so let us know today the power of a heart filled with praise, and that God has called us to rejoice and be glad in Him.
