Joined To The Lord (1 Corinthians 6:17)

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)

We are joined unto the Lord in that the individual members of the body make up the body as a whole. He is the head, and we are His body. This means that in the spirit we are already made perfect in Him, and the more that we embrace this reality by faith before we can see the evidence of it, the more of His glory will we see in and through our lives.

We Partake Of His Nature (Galatians 2:20)

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

Through our union with Christ our old self has been crucified with Him, and we have been given a new self which is created after His image and likeness. As we deliberately remember each day who we have been made to be in Him, we are no longer held in bondage to the things of the flesh. Through faith in Jesus we partake of His nature, thereby becoming instruments through which His glory may be made manifest in the earth.

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)

The moment we gave our lives to Jesus we were spiritually united with Him. We are joined unto the Lord in that the individual members of the body make up the body as a whole. He is the head, and we are His body. This means that in the spirit we are already made perfect in Him, and the more that we embrace this reality by faith before we can see the evidence of it, the more of His glory will we see in and through our lives.
