Receive His Rest (Matthew 11:28)

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

Coming to Jesus is a coming to the end of ourselves. Now it is no longer about struggling and striving to try and make it, but much rather about resting in what He has already done. In Christ everything we need has been made available by His grace; and as we come to trust Him and walk by faith, we will see the manifestations of His finished works in our lives.

Supernatural Peace (Philippians 4:6-7)

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)

There is a supernatural peace available to every believer. Rather than allowing care, worry and concern into our hearts, let us take all our needs and requests to God in simple and sincere prayer, thankful that what we need has already been provided. As we do we find that His peace will guard our hearts and minds, filling us with the confident assurance that all is well.

Trust Your Unseen Partner (Zechariah 4:6)

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Zechariah 4:6 (KJV)

Victory is not accomplished in our own might, but by the Spirit of God working in and through us. Jesus has made victory available, and it is the Holy Spirit’s job to bring the finished works of Jesus Christ into manifestation in our lives. Trust your unseen Partner who is the Holy Spirit—He will enable you to do what you cannot do on your own, and He will supply you with the strength, wisdom and ability you need.

Live By The Wisdom Of The Word (Proverbs 23:12)

Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.

Proverbs 23:12 (KJV)

We apply our heart to the instruction of God’s Word by speaking it over our lives, and by making it a part of our everyday conversation. Whatever we hear repeatedly—even as we hear ourselves saying it—will become rooted in our hearts. When we consistently live by the knowledge found in the Word of God, good success and prosperity in every area become inevitable.

Hold Fast The Confession Of Your Faith (Hebrews 10:23)

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Hebrews 10:23 (KJV)

To “profess” can also be translated to “confess.” We are to keep confessing our faith in the promises of God, our hearts assured by the fact that He who made the promise is faithful. So let our words be filled with faith, and let us declare boldly what God has said about us. He has called us to live victorious in every area of life!

He Is With Us (Exodus 33:14)

And He said, “My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Exodus 33:14 (NKJV)

When we remember God’s presence with us, there is a rest that comes even in the midst of turmoil. Keeping our minds and hearts stayed on Him who will never leave us enables us to be at peace regardless of any circumstances and conditions. Our peace is our most valuable asset, and the more we come to resting in Him, the more will we witness His supernatural ability showing up in our lives.

The Gift Of His Peace (John 14:27)

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27 (KJV)

We have the ability to not let our heart be troubled because Jesus has already given us the gift of His peace. We received His peace when we received Him, and we access His peace as we keep our minds and hearts filled with His Word. And so rather than allowing circumstances and conditions to dictate where our attention goes today, let us purpose in our hearts to focus on the One who is our peace. We will find ourselves walking in His wisdom and guidance in any given situation.

Our Strength Comes From Him (Isaiah 40:31)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

The grace of God works best when we acknowledge our need for Him, when we learn to trust in Him and depend on Him. When we stop relying on our own might, we will find He always supplies us with the strength, wisdom and ability to do what He has called us to do, and to walk in the victory He has already made available.

Live In The Finished Works (Matthew 12:28)

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 12:28 (KJV)

Jesus gives us rest because when we enter into Christ, we enter into a finished work. The moment we put our faith in Jesus as Lord of our lives, all things pertaining to life and godliness are made available to us. Our task as born again believers is not to struggle and to work hard to try and get God to bless us, but to live each day open and receptive for the blessings we already have in Him to manifest in our lives.

Offer The Sacrifice Of Praise (Hebrews 13:15)

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Hebrews 13:15 (KJV)

Offering the sacrifice of praise is to praise God regardless of whether or not we feel like it in our emotions. We do not live by our emotions, but take charge over them by continually giving thanks to God for His goodness and His favor in our lives.
