The Power Of A Thankful Heart (Psalm 100:4)

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:4 (KJV)

We are called to practice thanksgiving as a way of life. When we realize that there is always something to thank God for, we will naturally find ourselves giving Him the praise that is due to His name. Even in the midst of a challenge or a difficult time, we can thank God that He has already provided for us the way out. Friend, when we know our God and His goodness, we really cannot help but be thankful. And so let us rejoice today that there is enormous power in always having a thankful heart!

Christ Representatives (Colossians 3:17)

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Colossians 3:17 (KJV)

We are to represent Jesus in all that we do. Consider that in our day to day life, in our words and deeds, we are no longer representing ourselves, but but the One who has sent us. How does this affect what we say and do? Today, let us ask for the grace to remember that in all things we are called to be Christ representatives.

Show Forth His Salvation (Psalm 96:2)

Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Psalm 96:2 (KJV)

Praise and worship are ways of showing forth God’s salvation. Showing forth His salvation means to stand upon the truth that the victory has already been won and the enemy has already been defeated. This celebrant attitude puts us in place of being expectant of seeing God’s favor and blessings in our life.

Continual Praise (Psalm 98:4)

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Psalm 98:4 (KJV)

Praise is powerful because it announces that the victory has already been won. When we praise God and rejoice in Him, mountains melt away as we open ourselves more fully to seeing God’s glory manifest in our lives. Let us have a heart of continual praise; let us rejoice in Him on the mountaintop and in the valley, for He is infinitely worthy of all praise!

Offer The Sacrifice Of Praise (Hebrews 13:15)

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Hebrews 13:15 (KJV)

Offering the sacrifice of praise is to praise God regardless of whether or not we feel like it in our emotions. We do not live by our emotions, but take charge over them by continually giving thanks to God for His goodness and His favor in our lives.
