Not Our Own (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

What? know yet not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV)

God’s presence and power dwells in every born again believer. So let us live every day knowing that we belong to the Lord, that we have been bought with a price, thereby opening ourselves to the life of victory and service to the kingdom that God has called us to live.

Be Fed By His Word (1 Peter 2:2-3)

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

1 Peter 2:2-3 (KJV)

The Word of God is the spiritual food for our born again spirit. Just as we require physical food in order to be physically strengthened, so too our recreated spirit requires spiritual food in order to become strong within us. And so let us be fed and nourished by His Word daily, and in so doing may we taste of the joy and the fullness of life that is in Him.

The Victory Of Faith (1 John 5:4)

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:4 (KJV)

The key to living a life of victory is our faith. We use and develop our faith by setting our hearts and minds upon the promises of God, by meditating on them and confessing them until they become real to us. When we are convinced of the reality of something before we can perceive it through our physical senses, we are living in the victory of faith.

Each Of Us Has Been Gifted (1 Peter 4:11)

Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

1 Peter 4:11 (NLT)

Each of us has been gifted. We are called to discover what our individual gifts are, and to then freely share them as a means of bringing glory to God. Every single one of us has a role to play in God’s plan for establishing His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. As we look to Him for the strength and energy needed to fulfill our calling in Him, we will find ourselves led down the right paths and we will meet with the right opportunities.

Forget Not All His Benefits (Psalm 103:2-4)

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Psalm 103:2-4 (KJV)

The benefits of salvation include healing, redemption from all forms of destruction—physically, emotionally and spiritually—as well as total and complete access to every promise of scripture. As we meditate on and confess this truth daily, thereby reminding our soul, we are making way for God’s goodness and glory to manifest in and through our lives.

Christ Is Our Sufficiency (1 Corinthians 1:30)

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1 Corinthians 1:30 (KJV)

Jesus has become our wisdom, our righteousness, our sanctification, and our redemption. And so let us remember to not look to ourselves, but to Jesus. Being in Christ means that He has become our sufficiency unto whatever need may arise. As we meditate daily on this truth, accepting it in our hearts by faith, we will see the fruits of it showing up in our lives.

Continual Praise (Psalm 98:4)

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Psalm 98:4 (KJV)

Praise is powerful because it announces that the victory has already been won. When we praise God and rejoice in Him, mountains melt away as we open ourselves more fully to seeing God’s glory manifest in our lives. Let us have a heart of continual praise; let us rejoice in Him on the mountaintop and in the valley, for He is infinitely worthy of all praise!

No Longer Our Own (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

What? know yet not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV)

When we gave our lives to Jesus, His Holy Spirit took up residence within us. This means God’s presence and power now dwells in us. And so let us live every day knowing that we belong to the Lord, that we have been bought with a price, thereby opening ourselves to the life of victory and service to the kingdom that God has called us to live.

Bring Forth Much Fruit (John 15:5)

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

John 15:5 (KJV)

Jesus is calling us to thrive by bringing forth much fruit in His name. Yet to do so we must bring Him into every area of our life, we must remember continuously that without Him we can do nothing that is of any lasting value. When we live in this continual fellowship with the Lord, we will indeed be the branches showing forth all of the marvelous fruits of salvation.

Receive The Word Into Good Ground (Mark 4:20)

And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Mark 4:20 (KJV)

When the seed of the Word is sown into the good and receptive ground of our hearts, we cannot help but produce fruit in our lives. As we bring forth fruit through the Word working in us, our lives become a radiant demonstration of the goodness, the glory and the unmerited favor of God.
