New Roads And New Rivers (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (KJV)

We serve a God who wants to continuously take us down new roads and lead us into new rivers of His goodness. Our role is to lay hold of this by faith, and to then live each day expectant of seeing God’s goodness and grace in our lives.

Confessions of Faith – Week of November 12, 2017

I am a new creation in Christ! Old things have passed away, all things have become new! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

The Lord is guiding me continually! He satisfies my soul and He strengthens my bones! (Isaiah 58:11)

God is making all grace abound towards me! I have all sufficiency in all things, and I have an abundance for every good work! (2 Corinthians 9:8)

He that raised up Christ from the dead is giving life to my mortal body! By the stripes of Jesus I am healed from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet! (Romans 8:11; 2 Peter 2:24)

The Lord is making all that I do to prosper in my hand! (Genesis 29:3; Deuteronomy 28:4; Deuteronomy 28:12)

My delight is in the law of the Lord! I meditate in it day and night! Therefore my way is prosperous, and I am having good success! (Psalm 1:2; Joshua 1:8)

In Jesus’ mighty and magnificent name, amen!

Isaiah 43:18-19 (KJV)

To take hold of the newness of life that is available to us in Christ Jesus, we must let go of the old. Scripture tells us we are to not even consider the things of old, but instead focus on what God is looking to do right here and right now. Let us realize that we serve a God who wants to continuously take us down new roads and lead us into new rivers of His goodness. Our role is to lay hold of this by faith, and to then live each day expectant of seeing God’s goodness and grace in our lives.

Victory In The Midst Of Opposition (Isaiah 54:17)

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)

As born again believers we have been given authority in Jesus’ name over anything that would attempt to rob us of the promises of God. No matter the form of opposition, whether it be a negative doctors’ report, marital challenges, lack in a certain area, or hurtful and judgmental words from other people, we may declare with confidence the Word of God: that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Our confidence comes from the fact that our righteousness is not our own, but found completely in the finished works of Jesus. And so let us lay hold boldly of all that has been so freely made available.
