Confident To Rest (Psalm 116:7)

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Psalm 116:7 (KJV)

Our soul returns to its rest when we are confident that God is handling everything that concerns us. We rest in our confidence that God has already made available what we need, and out of this quiet assurance will we see His goodness showing up in our lives. God works when we are at a place of peace.

Speak Peace (Luke 10:5)

And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

Luke 10:5-6 (KJV)

Let us speak peace over our home, over our workplace, and over any other environments we may come into contact with. The more we are willing to bring the peace of God into our day to day world, the more will we ourselves be at peace independent of any circumstances and conditions.

No Condemnation (Romans 8:1)

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:1 (KJV)

There is no condemnation when we understand who we are in Christ, when we no longer walk according to who we have been in the flesh, but according to who He has made us to be in Him. Condemnation must flee as we receive the immeasurable gift of God’s love for us in and through the finished works of Jesus.

Guard Your Heart (Proverbs 4:23)

Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

Proverbs 4:23 (AMP)

Nothing is more important for us than to guard our hearts, for whatever is going on in our life can ultimately be traced back to what’s in our hearts. Guarding the heart means we do not allow anything to rob us of the peace that has come to us as a result of our meditating the Word and believing the promises of scripture. We keep our hearts fixed on Jesus no matter what.
