Live By The Wisdom Of The Word (Proverbs 23:12)

Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.

Proverbs 23:12 (KJV)

We apply our heart to the instruction of God’s Word by speaking it over our lives, and by making it a part of our everyday conversation. Whatever we hear repeatedly—even as we hear ourselves saying it—will become rooted in our hearts. When we consistently live by the knowledge found in the Word of God, good success and prosperity in every area become inevitable.

Keeping Our Minds Filled With Truth (1 Peter 1:13)

Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:13 (ESV)

To be sober-minded is to be filled with what the Word declares over us. It is to keep our minds actively focused on the truth of God’s Word, and to be actively on guard against the lies and deceptions of the enemy that would seek to invade our thinking. Our confident expectation is set fully upon what the grace of God has made available to us in Christ Jesus.

Vessels Of God’s Glory (John 11:4)

When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

John 11:4 (KJV)

It is the will of our heavenly Father that His glory be made manifest in and through His people. And so whether it be sickness, lack, anxiety, or anything else, God wants to use our challenge to manifest His glory in us. This means healing, deliverance, provision, soundness and protection.

Renew The Mind (Romans 12:2)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will, of God.

Romans 12:2 (KJV)

When we renew our minds, we replace our thoughts with the thoughts of God, and we exchange our words for the Word of God. The more that we bring our thoughts and words into agreement with God’s Word, the more will we prove God’s good, acceptable and perfect will for us. And the way we prove it is to live it, to see it made manifest in our day to day lives.

Authority Through Our Words (Proverbs 18:21)

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

The words we speak are so powerful they will determine whether what we bring about is life or death, victory or defeat. Speaking words of fear and unbelief will yield fruit accordingly, whereas words of faith enable God’s promises to come to pass in our life. God in His great love has given us authority in this earth, and one of the ways we exercise¬†this authority is through the words we speak. Speak God’s Word, and be expectant for His goodness to show up in your life!

Aligning Our Thoughts With God’s Thoughts (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJV)

We are called to get our thoughts aligned with God’s thoughts. This means steadfastly resisting thoughts, theories and imaginings that contradict His will and His promises, and instead filling our hearts and minds with the truth of His Word. The more that His Word becomes a living reality in our hearts, the more will our lives change to reflect His goodness, His grace and His glory.

Speak God’s Word (Proverbs 16:24)

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Proverbs 16:24 (KJV)

The words which we speak can either be pleasant to our soul and bring health to our physical bodies, or similarly our words can bring about sorrow and even sickness. One of the most important things for us to do is to take charge over the words that we speak. Let us be in the habit of speaking God’s Word over our lives, over the people we encounter, and over situations and circumstances. God’s Word will always bring joy to our souls, and He always confirms His Word with signs and manifestations following.
