Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
God wants to exceed our expectations in every area of life. The key for seeing His exceeding and abundant blessings is His power that works in us. His power working in us is in direct proportion to our faith, and so as we purpose in our hearts to believe the Word, we are becoming receptive and available for God’s goodness and favor to manifest in and through our lives.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:28 (KJV)
After we receive Jesus no one and nothing can ever separate us from Him. We have been spiritually united with Christ for eternity, and no amount of mistakes or shortcomings on our part can undo this union. Our role is to receive His precious gift of righteousness, and all that comes with it, by faith.
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23 (KJV)
Believing opens us to the limitless possibilities of what grace has made available. And believing is ultimately a choice. We have been given the ability to choose to look only at what seems possible in the natural, or we may believe with all our hearts what God has said. When we put all of our faith and trust in God’s promises, nothing shall be impossible to us.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 17:17 (KJV)
To be sanctified means to be set apart for God’s purposes in our life. We are sanctified through the Word because the more that we allow the Word of God to fill our hearts and minds, the more will our thinking and our words reflect the purposes of God. This is when we find that God’s purposes for us are to have victory and good success in every area of life.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV)
Casting our care upon the Lord is an act of great humility. Humbling ourselves under His mighty hand means that we surrender even the smallest details of our life to the One who cares for us. Today, dare to cast all your cares, worries and concerns upon Him, and rest in His grace. It is from this place of resting in Him that the mighty hand of God will lead us, comfort us, deliver us, strengthen us, and ultimately, exalt us.
You see that [his] faith was cooperating with his works, and [his] faith was completed and reached its supreme expression [when he implemented it] by [good] works.
James 2:22 (AMP)
What the Word is describing here is works of faith. Authentic faith will always produce some kind of corresponding action. In other words, when I believe a certain promise in the Word, my believing this promise will cause me to act in a certain way. Works of faith means that our actions are not an attempt to try to get God to do something, but much rather are they the result of us believing that God has already done it. We act out of what we believe is already finished and available.
Grace World family,
On this day on which we remember the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, may you be blessed with God’s goodness and favor in every area of your life! How beautiful it is to know that in receiving Jesus we have already received the greatest gift we could have ever received. Today and on all days, may we live in the fullness of what His grace has made available to us.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
The true meaning of Christmas is found in this beautiful truth of God’s love for all of mankind. It is this love that compelled the eternal God to be born into this world for the sole purpose of reconciling fallen humanity back to Himself. The birth of the Christ may serve as a reminder that we can simply receive Him, knowing that the government of all that concerns us shall be upon His shoulders. This means we can cast our cares upon Him, and find rest and restoration in His amazing grace.
